With Valentine’s Day coming you may be trying desperately to come up with something really special to do for the love of your life. Flowers? Done it. Dinner and a show? Done that too. A card and candy? Done repeatedly. While none of those things are a bad idea or a bad thing to do, and they will likely be appreciated, you may be searching for something extra special. Well, what about giving the love in your life a romantic treasure hunt?
What is a romantic treasure hunt? We’re glad you asked. The traditional working of a romantic treasure hunt is when you set up a day or evening that is full of fun and romantic gifts and moments for the love of your life. This will take a little work to plan out, but it will be worth it. Here are a few examples of how to do it. you could begin the day by making breakfast in bed for that special someone. In addition to their favorite meal you will tell them that they are beginning their day of a Love treasure hunt and hand them a note that says Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction." While this is a love quote that is beautiful to read, it is also a quote that is telling your special someone a little something about what is going to happen in the hours to come. In this case, it could mean that you are going to take a trip out to the pier where you had one of your first dates. Once there you could have flowers for your date with a note attached that says - “If you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud, or the moment just... passes you by.” While this could mean you are going to announce your love for that special someone aloud, it could also allude to what’s next for your day, such as a special outdoor theater presentation that you are going to enjoy together. Get the idea? Now this doesn’t just have to be done when it comes to locations to head to over the course of a day. You can also bring this down to an at-home, evening level. You could hide fun and romantic gifts all over the house and leave clues to your mate keying them in on where to search. For example – “Above the shade yet below the roof a vision of love is quite aloof.” This could lead your special someone to search the top sills of the windows in the home until they find a very small package you have hidden. That package may have a piece of jewelry or other small special trinket as well as a clue that will lead them to the next present they are to find, such as – “Nothing stokes the flames of love like a vision of you.” Once your love looks in or around the fireplace, they will find the next present waiting for them. You can continue this for as many presents as you would like and for as many love quotes as you can find or make up to make it all work out. Love quotes are also easy to find online, as there are websites that give you long lists of them to choose from. See, while you thought this would be an impossible task, it is far easier than you may have feared to have a little fun and give that special someone in your life a special romantic day they will never forget.. |
"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then
subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to
work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is
inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is.
Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the
promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in
love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is
what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both
an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots
that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty
blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree
and not two."
Physical pleasure is a sensual experience no different from pure seeing or the pure sensation with which a fine fruit fills the tongue; it is a great unending experience, which is given us, a knowing of the world, the fullness and the glory of all knowing. And not our acceptance of it is bad; the bad thing is that most people misuse and squander this experience and apply it as a stimulant at the tired spots of their lives and as distraction instead of a rallying toward exalted moments. |
